গদি কী What Goddi is

গদি একটা ব্যঙ্গাত্মক কার্ড-সোয়াইপ গেম। আপনি ঢাকার একজন কাল্পনিক ওয়ার্ড ৩৭ কাউন্সিলর। প্রতিটি কার্ডে একজন কেউ আসে: চাঁদাবাজ, প্রতিবেশী, দলের নেতা, পরিবার, সাংবাদিক। সবার হাতে একটা সমস্যা। আপনার সামনে দু'টি পথ, বাঁ অথবা ডান। প্রতিটি সিদ্ধান্ত আপনার চারটি স্কোরে প্রভাব ফেলে: জনতা, দল, প্রশাসন, তহবিল। যেকোনো একটি শূন্যে পৌঁছালে গেম শেষ। Goddi is a satirical card-swipe game. You play a fictional Ward 37 Councillor in Dhaka. Each card brings someone with a problem: a contractor, a neighbour, a party boss, your family, a journalist. You get two choices, left or right. Every choice nudges four meters: People, Party, Admin, Treasury. If any one of them hits zero, your run ends.

Please the crowd and the treasury bleeds. Cut a corner to move fast and the administration opens a file. Every path has a cost. Win clean and people doubt you; play dirty and the cameras come.

কেন এই গেম Why this exists

বাংলাদেশে রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষণের কমতি নেই: দীর্ঘ কলাম, দীর্ঘ টক-শো। ইন্টারঅ্যাক্টিভ ফর্মে প্রায় কিছুই নেই। অথচ Reigns প্রমাণ করেছে যে দু-বোতামের ব্যঙ্গ দু'হাজার শব্দের কলামের চেয়ে দ্রুত পৌঁছায়, বিশেষ করে যাঁরা কখনো কলাম পড়েন না তাঁদের কাছে। Bangladesh has no shortage of political commentary: long columns, long talk-shows. There's almost nothing in interactive form. But Reigns proved that two-button satire lands faster than a 2,000-word column, especially with people who would never read a column in the first place.

গদি একটা ঢাকা-নির্দিষ্ট, ওয়ার্ড-নির্দিষ্ট দৃশ্যপটকে যে কারও ফোনে দশ মিনিটের জন্য রাখার চেষ্টা। লক্ষ্য সোজা: কেউ যদি একটা রান শেষ করে সামান্য ক্লান্ত বোধ করেন, যেভাবে একজন আসল কাউন্সিলর প্রতিদিন ক্লান্ত হন, তাহলেই গেমটা কাজ করেছে। Goddi tries to put a Dhaka-specific, ward-specific scenario into anyone's hand for ten minutes. The bar is simple: if you finish a run feeling slightly tired in the way an actual councillor must feel tired, the game has done its job.

নকশার দর্শন Design philosophy

গেমটি ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে নিরপেক্ষ। চারটি দলকে প্রায় সমানভাবে ব্যঙ্গ করা হয়েছে। কাউন্সিলর কাল্পনিক। প্রতিটি ডায়লগ মৌলিক; কোনো বাস্তব নাম ব্যবহার করা হয়নি। লক্ষ্য কোনো নির্দিষ্ট দল বা ব্যক্তি নয়, লক্ষ্য সর্বজনীন প্যাটার্ন: ক্ষমতা কীভাবে কাজ করে, ক্ষমতা কাকে ক্লান্ত করে, এবং পাঁচ বছরে একটা ছোট অফিস কীভাবে দখলে নেয়। The game is even-handed by design. Four parties are caricatured roughly equally. The Councillor is fictional. Every dialog is original, and no real names are used. The point is not any specific party or person, but the universal pattern: how power works, who power tires out, and how a small office consumes five years of one's life.

গদি একটি অ্যানথোলজি। প্রতিটি মিশন আলাদা ডেক, আলাদা ঐতিহাসিক মুহূর্ত, আলাদা ছন্দ; কিন্তু একই ইঞ্জিন আর একই ওয়ার্ড ৩৭। বর্তমানে দু'টি খেলার যোগ্য, তিনটি তৈরির পথে। Goddi is an anthology. Each mission is its own deck, its own historical moment, its own pacing, but the same engine and the same Ward 37 underneath. Two are playable now; three more are in development.

Each background shifts your starting meters slightly, and unlocks different dialog on some cards.

মো. রাফি হোসেন একজন ঢাকা-ভিত্তিক উদ্যোক্তা ও কমিউনিটি-সংগঠক। তিনি সিরাজ মিয়া মেমোরিয়াল মডেল স্কুলের চেয়ারম্যান, দক্ষিণ বারিধারার একটি বাংলা-মাধ্যম প্রতিষ্ঠান যেখানে ১,২০০-র বেশি শিক্ষার্থী পড়ে। তিনি One97 Technologies Pvt Ltd-এর ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর, Paperless Ltd (PSO-লাইসেন্সপ্রাপ্ত পেমেন্ট গেটওয়ে)-এর ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর, এবং Grand ZamZam Tower (উত্তরা)-এর এক্সিকিউটিভ ডিরেক্টর। সিরাজ মিয়া মেমোরিয়াল ফাউন্ডেশনের সভাপতি হিসেবে তিনি প্রায় দু'দশক ধরে শিক্ষা, খাদ্য-সহায়তা ও সমাজসেবা চালান। এবং দক্ষিণ বারিধারা ইয়ুথ ক্লাবের সভাপতি, যেটি গদির পেছনের আয়োজক প্রতিষ্ঠান। Md. Rafy Hossain is a Dhaka-based entrepreneur and community organiser. He is Chairman of Siraj Mia Memorial Model School, a Bangla-medium school in South Baridhara with over 1,200 students. He is Managing Director of One97 Technologies Pvt Ltd, Managing Director of Paperless Ltd (a PSO-licensed payment gateway), and Executive Director of Grand ZamZam Tower in Uttara. As President of the Siraj Mia Memorial Foundation, he has run food, education, and community programmes for nearly two decades. And as President of the South Baridhara Youth Club, the community organisation presenting Goddi.

গদি তাঁর একটি ব্যক্তিগত, একক প্রকল্প: কয়েক মাসের সাইড-প্রজেক্ট হিসেবে রাত আর সাপ্তাহিক ছুটিতে তৈরি। নকশা, লেখা, কোড, কার্ড টিউনিং; সব এক হাতে। Goddi is a personal, solo project: built over a few months as a side project, in nights and weekends. Design, writing, code, card tuning, all by one hand.

The club runs neighbourhood programmes: medical camps, winter clothing drives, sports, and community fairs. Goddi is SBYC's first digital presentation. All prize-sponsorship revenue goes to SBYC community programmes.
